Okay I just got my Citidisk HD120 from B&HPhoto , (ProCOn's reseller) and I can't get it to record properly.
Files get captured onto disk, which are huge in size. But when I go to import it into Adobe Premiere everythings all black and no sound. When I preview it with QPlay on the HVX all I see is a garbled video with nothing but artifacts and is also flickering.
Can someone give me some help.
Here are the things I have tried.
1: Changed the save formats to MOV, AVI2, RawDV, Canopus AVI2, and Matrox AVI1. No difference with import and previewing on HVX. Still see garbled video with nothing but artifacts and is also flickering.
2: Tested the firewire stream with DVRack HD 2.0. Stream is okay.
3. Formatted Citidisk with Shining Utility 7.? No difference.
4. Tried to update the firmware with FW1256HD(HVX200)-oxfw911- 07282006Release.bin , but I get an error saying "Error: the selected firmware's name does not match the board configuration" I am assuming that this firmware is older. Because my firmware installed is "Target Node:FFC0-Firmware Rev. Aug 31 2006 HW Rev. FW1256HD Beta2, configuration is limited"
5: Did a basic Write Test and passed that cause it says it is writeable. But when I go to do a Read/Write Performance Test the Utility crashed . I know cause I tried to do the test on another disk besides the CITIDISK.
What else can I do to resolve this?
I will be calling PROCON when there open for business, I just got this on FRIDAY so perhaps I got till Monday to figure it out or else I am gonna get the FS100 while it is in stock.
