Just spoke with someone at Shining Technology and he indicates that they already have early production models of their CitiDisk HDV and that the CitiDiskHD for the HVX should not be much longer. While not committing to any release date, he strongly suggested that they are quite close to a production model. I'll be getting a look at the HDV unit toward the end of July after I have returned from long trip. But just want to share this info regarding the CitiDisk HD. I would predict by fall we will have the choice of the CitiDisk HD, Cineporter and FS-100 for direct to disk acquisition with the HVX. Based upon specs and concept alone, I am still partial to the Cineporter.
