Cintactics matte box problem

Hey, i just got the cintactics matte box, i think thats how its spelt, any ways...

It kinda stretces and i guess your supposed to just stretch it and put it over the front of the camera.... but it doesnt work like that, when i put it over the camera lense and i take off the lense protector the whole matte box comes off witht he lense protector??????


Its like there isnt enough room to stretch it over the lense?

what am i doing wrong. how do i get it to stay on, and how do i put it on correctly.


Also I have to take off that square black thing thats on the end of the lense to make it even come close to fitting? is this supposed to be like this? i look on the cintactics site and it shows and oversided anamorphic one that looks like it goes over the end black square thing, should i not have bought it from evs and got the oversised one? i cant even get it to stay on seems like a rip off.

Did you order the dvx 72mm threaded adapter. The website says under the camera compatibility page that you NEED to get this adapter for the matteblox to work on the DVX. These are great matteboxes for the price. I have the anamorphic matteblox and I love it !!!!!
