Cinevate's Follow-Focus GEAR RINGS

Willis, I'm biased of course so I won't comment on the gears other than they're 100% hard annodized aluminum, allow continuous rotation, and ship with stainless "spokes". Unlike plastic ones, the gear pitch never changes with size as they're fixed at 100mm diameter. The original design credit goes to Dan Diaconu. The newer ones are easier to fit and we will have a video up this week (it's about a week late) on our Durus follow focus. This video will include a section on gear fitment as there are a few tricks to make installation perfectly bulletproof.

We've also dropped the price about 18% :-)

I use the gears and they are great! Once installed you do not want to take them off. Each lens needs one. They are very precise and durable.

Hi Dennis,

Just watched the video and had a quick question. Looks like the spokes are tightened down directly onto the rubber lens focus ring and I was wondering if that could possibly adversely affect the cosmetics over time? I like to keep my gear in the best shape possible in case I end up selling any of it later...

They do contact the ring directly, although as I posted elsewhere, zero complaints on this issue. We do have access to rubber tipped versions of our "spokes" which based on these posts...we'll start stocking.

Either way, sounds good... Thanks Dennis.
