Cinevate Unveils Expanded Facility!

Some of you might be wondering why I've been so quiet on the forums over the last little while. Well, other than all the new products, NAB 09 preparations and assorted shoots...we also nearly doubled our size! Since Christmas we've been dropping walls, building a new studio and expanding our assembly and shipping area. Friday night featured another great party as we opened our new digs up for friends, family and business associates. Our old studio space has become integrated into our primary office space, and an entirely new studio was created to both service local shooters as well as be our production main space. Included in the new space is a dedicated product photography area, 20 foot green screen, white cyc, and options for shooting and testing. Cinevate has been establishing itself locally as a place to purchase/borrow/rent equipment and space where high production values are sought, but on ever-shrinking production budgets. We just became a Manfrotto dealer (website updates this week) to make sure we had all the little grip bits and pieces folks are always looking for. The new work area follows the previous theme of recycled glass offices, open space, versatility and excellent lighting. So despite all the doom and gloom out there, at least one business is still growing, thanks to the kind support of all of our customers. For those of you who've never viewed our Cinevate BTS clip, you can find it here.

To keep up with your growing support, we've also added two more full time staff. Welcome to Sarah (assembly/service/shipping) and Milosz (logistics). See you at NAB!

I remember when the Cinevate BTS video first came out... I sent it to a bunch of business contacts as an example of a great corporate video. It definitely has the StillMotion finesse that I like.

It's really inspiring to see companies like Cinevate and other indie companies expand like they do. It's encouraging to me as the founder of a nonprofit to see how with the support of a great community like DVXuser... things can really blossom.

Keep it up Dennis.

Thanks guys :-) This world of visual story telling is constantly full of surprises and there's amazing tools coming out every day for the independent film maker. Canon Canada was kind enough to fix us up with the Mk2 D5 and 24-70 f2.8L lens and I immediately fell in love with it. Finally an SLR that to me is now a complete film replacement! 35mm photography is what got me cranked up over 20 years ago now and I'm right back there with this great tool. Must have snapped 1000 pics this week. We've got a video shoot kit for the camera in the works too :-)
