Cinevate - Still in business?

I'm looking at picking up a Duzi 4 but the website has been down for some weeks now. Also, I've sent them two direct messages on social media in the past week, but neither has been opened. Has anyone been in contact with the Cinevate folks lately?

Duzi 4 is a massive upgrade, purchased from bhphoto 2 months ago. I think they went on holiday for the summer maybe, perhaps it’s other news but If you are after something with high weight capacity it’s the Duzi v4 for best price.

I've been considering either a Duzi 4, or put my tripod on a Glide Gear hybrid dolly with track, which would cost about the same:

Using a C200 on a medium weight tripod, I'm not sure if the glide gear would work as well as the Duzi or not. If it works as well, then it seems like it might be a little faster to set up and give up to 12' of track length, which is pretty awesome.

Still haven't heard a peep from Cinevate, but I saw a great deal on a used 24" Duzi 4 and bought it. It's very nicely built, however, I can't get the thing to slide smoothly (this is the version with the flywheel). It slows down and gets a little jerky in the middle of the slide, almost as if there is a "pinch" in the middle of the two rods. But I've inspected it closely and can't see anything that would cause it to do that. The tracks look clean and smooth. The single "rubber band/pulley" seems to be running smoothly, as are the wheels. Also, I've pushed the brake all the way off. But still no luck. I read the manual, which didn't contain anything helpful with regard to this situation. For you Duzi owners out there -- is there anything else I can try, or did I just purchase a lemon?

That’s very disappointing if true! You might need to tweak it, there are quite a few Duzi tuning videos out there

In a parallel rods system, it doesn't take much of a tweak to cause it to bind. Only one rod needs to be out a very small amount. You'll need to pull the rods out and roll them on a flat surface to so if one is bent. Only other thing would be if one is slightly crushed to be out of round. Turning each rod 90 degrees might help with an out of round condition.
