Our very first (patent pending) Titan mattebox shipped today. This box to our knowledge is the first fully height adjustable swing-away mattebox in the world. Because it incorporates a carbon fibre/CNC aluminum frame it also serves as an incredibly strong handle, grip, and mount point for mics, lights etc. We've provided 3 shoe mounts up top. The box concept originated from one of our guys Chris (comes from 10 years as a professional grip) mentioning that a lot of shooters at the major motion picture level liked grabbing onto their mattebox when shooting. I also have always been pestered when tossing rigs into the back of my car and getting flags beat up. Another issue we've seen is that none of the swing away boxes we've seen on the market lock solidly enough to operate rattle free on a car mount.
This box solves all of these issues taking a vertical or side load into the 400lb range, being height adjustable, offering mount points up top for monitors, our 15mm carbon rails, mics, or just for use as a handle. If that's not enough, we also provide integrated mounts for 15mm or 19mm RED rails systems with no adapters required
The box can be locked into position rock solidly and as you can tell is fully supported both left and right. We've provided a magnetic catch for folks who want super fast access to the filters. Becasue we're using carbon fibre and aluminum materials on the chassis, it's incredibly light.
The box is fully modular meaning folks wanting the 3 individual rotatng 4x5.6 trays will have them shortly as a user swappable component. Our video covering the box is already up at Cinevate's Video University.

Cheers,
Dennis Wood.
