Cinevate Question

Have any of you purchased this adapter. I ordered one December 3, 2006. I received conformation of purchase with an order number but have not yet received the adapter. I have emailed the company three times this week without response. I've tried twice to access the forum but I'm still waiting for conformation of registration on that forum or I would place this question there. Customer service is all about communication and I have not received any from Dennis.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Sounds like your emails are perhaps getting erroneously filtered. I communicate with Dennis all the time with 24 hour response usually.

You could try and send a message to him via this forum, in the event your emails are getting filtered: guskersthecat

As a Brevis user, it is well worth the wait.

Supposedly their email has been down recently, but they are back up, yet still a few days behind on responding.

yes he usually always responds to my messages within a day. just got my brevis. havent mastered it yet but preliminary results are great!

What was your wait time from order to delivery? Ordering at the beginning of December and as of today not receiving it seems like a long time.

Dennis has been way behind on getting orders out the last month or so. I had my brevis order placed before that , and after getting a number of estimates for a week or two ahead it finally shipped this week. So its been a little frustrating, but Dennis has been very forthcoming about the delays and generally has been pretty good about email response. I have repeatedly had some problems though with his replies to me getting lost in my spam filters & he may have lost some of mine as wello.
What address are you using for him. i may have had to change what I use . This has been working for me:

sales@cinevate.com

I had problems getting his forum to accept my registration as well and Dennis finally intervened to straighten it out. That seemed like a glitchy web site.

I ordered my Brevis in early Sept, with a 3 week ship estimate by Dennis. I think I was in a wave of orders that were just starting to overwhelm his manufacturing pipeline. That order didn't ship until mid-Nov. I was pretty stressed by the continual delays, but Dennis did try to keep me informed about them. Once I got it, he was very helpful with my getting it checked out in two days before I used it in a feature. He's a nice guy and works pretty darned hard to make sure your happy with his adapter. And the adapter is good. I'm really pleased with the footage. So it might take a while to get yours as the demand for the adapters is probably continuing to grow just beyond the rate he is able to increase his mfg capacity. but he will deliver a good product in the end.

I've also been having a hard time getting him for the past week. Dennis is usually very good about replying. Not sure what is going on.

Guys, it's true....we had some systems issue last week and lost about 4 days worth. With some major computer hardware upgrades just completed, we're back up to speed and should be 100% caught up by Friday night. Email volume has been very high of late. so even a day means a large back log. This week has also been complicated by new machining equipment coming online, and a pile of parts that needed final work before coating. (done, whew)

There's no question that adapters have been taking longer than we'd like to go out. What I can say is that we're working incredibly hard to keep pace with demand, while continuously improving the adapter. The experience would warrant a mini-series...but we're definitely having a blast. The good news is that so far, despite the wait, we're getting great feedback on the adapter. Once footage starts to roll in with the CF3 imaging element, we're hoping it will get better yet.

Thanks for your patience...and I will personally get every one of those emails dealt with.

Cheers :-)

Hey Dennis,

Any news on the flip module? (ETA, Price,)

Nothing concrete yet..but target is sub $200. We are working 100% towards geting adapters out...so the flip module is waiting. Ab, we do have a phone number of course, but between maintaining the forum, website, and email, we find the phone takes up a lot of time. Current customers have the option, particularly during pressing shoots/emergencies etc. to call us. As the company grows, we'll have a person doing nothing but phone work, email etc.
