Cinevate Introduces the Atlas 10 LTS (Camera Slider)

The pink balls are a bit of an experiment directly based on a request form a New York "Momtographer" Rosanna Wolfe. She commented that all of our gear was a bit like the original Model T where you could order any color, as long as it was black. Therefore Rosanna we give you .... pink.

So for a bit of fun, we could do the feet in any color. The feet, like much of our gear are deceptively simple. In truth, they took something like 16 weeks to get right. They start with stainless hardware which is overmolded twice, with two different materials, to arrive at the non-scratch, non-marking, yet super tough system.

Matthew, repeatability is part of the design criteria..so very precise. In other words if you want the camera to move from point A to B, at a precise rate, then do it again, we're good. This would include time-lapse as we will have two transmission options (swappable). The vertical counterbalance kit was really conceived to make very heavy camera loads time-lapsable (if that's even a word) without using a monstor drive system. At some point very soon you'll be able to manage this using your smartphone :-)

Cheers,
Dennis.

Hey Dennis,

I will definitely be interested in this feature, any idea on a rough timeframe?

Prototyping is already well underway. Direct (simple) drive system with controller will come first, then wifi control system with many devices addressable. You should see some footage within weeks, with product starting (if all goes well) early 2011. This system works with any of our LTS systems, Atlas 10, 30, 200 and Pegasus Carbon so none of our existing customers will be left out :-)

Cheers,
Dennis.

This new Atlas model sounds like a great piece of equipment and worthy upgrade especially if its starting tag price is under $500.

LOVE MY ATLAS 10! I had to part ways with the first one but am so happy to finally have my own :). Lovely piece of gear. Taking it for a plane ride to the island of Lanai tomorrow and shooting (yet another..ack) a destination wedding. Haven't got much chance to play with it yet but I'm definitely feeling the shorter 26" version vs. the longer prototype, much easier to handle!

Email incoming regarding ball feet color Dennis ;).
