Cinevate dolly vs Panther Husky vs Losmandy Spider Dolly (or others)

Charles, in spite of ourselves (meaning zero marketing) the entire first production run is just about gone. We've incorporated about a dozen minor changes into the next run based on customer feedback. These are related to simplifying the push handle for storage/rapid removal and a redesign of the telescopic mast that adds internal tension adjustment on top the existing air-damped design. All parts are retro-friendly.

The pneumatic kit adds the ability to both lock the articulation arms, as well as lock the dolly wheels into position over 360 degrees. We're just working on the wheel assembly details right now. The idea is that you'll be able to "program" a movement over whatever space you have at hand.

The jib project for the dolly is also ongoing...16 ft of lift (3 increments possible), no wires, fits into a 3 ft bag, supports 30lbs payload and weighs under 20lbs.

If you can pull this of for a reasonable price, you will sell a lot of them. I own a Losmandy PortaJib Traveler. I love it but it is short throw only. I would still like to own a loger arm for those outdoor shoots and for studios with higher ceilings.

Go for it!

Dan
