Cineroid Metal EVF Burned Screen: Anyone found a fix?

I recently DP'd a feature film that was shot in the brutal South Texas July sun. I was sick, and absent for one day, when my 1AC used my camera, and left the Cineroid viewfinder in the sun. So, now I have several burned white spots in my display, and I need to get a new one. I've yet to have any luck getting ahold of someone from Cineroid who can help me. I know from previous posts that people here have burned their Cineroids; has anyone had theirs repaired, and what was the cost/process?

Thanks in advance,

Darren

Joseph used to be the US rep, but that was awhile ago. His email was joseph@cineroidusa.com

A few years back I burnt a 5D2's LCD with a Z-Finder. Was out in the Nevada desert, near the end of the day, & exposure was very brief, but damaged the bezel, & screen, in a few places.

If you do replace the whole unit get the Alphatron EVF. It's a step up from Zacuto's, or Cineroid's.
