Cineo HSX LED Light - NAB 2016

Stephen Mick

Totally Usable
I met the folks from Cineo last year at NAB, and was impressed with everything I saw. This year, they have a new light in the HSX. It's a color-tunable fixture that pumps out 25,000 lumens. You can dial in the color temperature from 2700K to 6000K, with a bunch of presets in between. It's totally flicker-free, with zero color shift across the dimming range.

If you're looking for a soft source that combines high-output with high-CRI and you need it to be bomb-proof, check out the HSX.

Hi Stephen,

Do you know whether this is remote phosphor, like their other lights? I'm not sure how they'd be doing tunable colour and RP because to change the temperature you'd use a different phosphor panel.

The site says that it is, but i don't understand how it could be...

cheers
Paul

It wasn't clear at the booth, but in reading over the info at Cineo's site, it appears to be an LED, not a remote phosphor light. I adjusted the title accordingly. :)
