Cinemon Plug In...Use with FCPX?

It appears that Cinemon plug in for FCP will allow direct import of mp4 clips to Final Cut Pro according to the press release. The Sony specs say FCP7 needed? Will this work with FCPX? Can't find anyone with experience doing it?

It is a v.7 version, it will not work in X. Not sure it's needed in X at all.
