Cinemek G35

Any know the price of the Cinemek G35? Does anyone know if the image is upside down when you use it, or does it flip rightside up like in the mini 35 as opposed to the m2 adapter?

It was roughly 1200, but the product has changed slightly so the price may change again. The image is upside down. I believe the only consumer adapters that do that are the letus flip, movietube and mini35.

So which dof adapter is the best? It seems like the Mini 35 is the most expensive, so I assume it's the best made. Though I've heard alot about how the Cinemek g35 somehow enhances the image. Another thing, whats up with this upside down image thing on most DOF adapters? Can't they put something in it to put it right side up? I heard somepeople are using magnets to trick the LCD monitor to flip the image. How practical and safe for the camera is that?

The magnet trick only flips the image on camcorder LCD screen. You still have to flip the image in post..

To flip the image the device would have to use some sort of mirror or prism reflect the image. This has it's shortcomings, such as increased size, light fall-off and image degration..

Hehe, well Rookie, the magnet does not flip the image recorded, it just flips the image displayed on the LCD screen. If you want to know the details on how a 35mm adapter works, check this out.

Its basic, but you might learn a thing or two from it.
