CinemaDNG proxy editing with Lightworks and Resolve

I've been experimenting with Lightworks 12.5.e beta this morning importing DNG clips directly and applying a 3dlut exported from the same clip in Resolve.
V12.5 added cdng import and support for 3D luts in several formats. So far this seems like a good approach for rough cutting one light dailies in Lightworks without the need to transcode to video first.
One has to set the project raw table to camera metadata n Resolve for this to work well since Lightworks has no raw processing menu yet, just simple debayer at mediocre quality suitable for real time playback. Raw adjustments in Resolve are not included in LUT exports, just node grading adjustments.
I then do a single node correction using curve and color wheel tools in Resolve and save a 3D lut of that. Apply that to the clips in Lightworks.
The next step will be to rough cut the footage, export an EDL or AAF/XML file to Resolve and do full color grade of the timeline. Then export to a high quality mezzanine codec and replace the DNG proxies with the graded video in the edit. Finish the edit with FX and titles, export to delivery formats.
This will eliminate transcoding footage I don't use in the edits saving a ton of machine time and disk space.
I like it for a proxy work flow so far. The CDNG support in Lightworks is not sophisticated enough or of high enough quality at this point for direct finishing.

It's a good editor once you get the differences between it and whatever you might have been using before. Wondering how Resolve's editing might displace it. Trying to decide if I renew my LW pro or just go with Resolve.

I've played with Resolve's edit features a bit, but Lightworks with custom keyboard and Contour Pro Jog/shuttle controls makes it seem pretty clunky. We'll have to see how things change with Resolve 12, but I would probably still do rough cuts in Lightworks anyway. It is just so fast and efficient for organizing and trimming. I've really grown to love it. It even integrates with Fusion nicely for FX and fancier graphics.
But for rendering out high quality graded video from CDNG, Resolve Lite with Neat Video noise reduction is superb. Just not anywhere close to real time on my workstation. The video clip I used in the above example with NR applied rendered out at about 3 fps.
