cinema5d.com hacked?

chrome is telling me it might contain malware.

personally, i've never had a problem with a site that might potentially have malware. if i don't download it, it won't harm my pc. your mileage may vary.

no bashing other forums here....

we just dealt with this on reduser the other day... hope they get it fixed... I know it sucks to have to deal with this kind of crap...

Sorry jason, I just can't stand the politics that go on over there

But Lips are sealed from now on

yea, it seems infested,
thing is if they try to deal with this manually, it will take weeks, this kind of hack add some code to almost every page, hopefully there are lil softwares that are dealing with this.

If anyone has a reliable contact for them or if they are still having problems with this, please tell them to feel free to email me at jason at landmine dot tv and I'll be glad to see if I can provide them with some assistance...

If, in their google diagnostics it's showing the error for every page, there is likely some script that got injected into their header or footer.... this could have happened from an image (perhaps from one of those 3 url's listed in the google diagnostics) or there could be a file that was installed on their server somewhere...

they should check their header/footer for any weird script that doesn't belong, and also search their site for any of those urls to see if perhaps a bad image came from one of those domains so it can be removed as well... then they will have to submit to google for review, and if the site is clean within half a day or so, the google diagnostics should update to say they are updating their links and the site is clear.

laer,
Jason

Hopefully their host makes back ups they can just replace everything with, I dealt with this on a bunch of Joomla sites a few months ago.

I just got my laptop back from dell (don't ask, three tech visits and THEN it went to the depot, still not right) but I had not yet installed AVG. Yep got the wammy last time I visited the site. As a sponsor both here and there I always check out the banners and I noticed they are streaming a lot of google ads in between the sponsor ads. Might this do it? I will say I noticed the attack Exactly after I viewed the video about the flip mirror LCD Loupe.

I guess it would be stating the obvious that there are a lot of users who are active on both forums. I bet many of us are members on several other sites as well. So, its not really a "us versus them" situation at all. These kinds of hacks or malware reports can happen to any site really.

I have emailed Sebastian (cinema5d.com admin) but I am sure he must have his hands full with this situation.

It will get resolved in short order hopefully.

I guess I should mention that I am a moderator over at cinema5d.com...

Cheers!

I own 2 forums and admin 3 more and can tell you first hand how frustrating these things can be when things go wrong. I've never had a attack (knock on wood), but have had my share of board crashes trying to install mods etc. It's a desperate rush to get the thing running knowing folks are waiting to get back on like they're waiting for their next crack fix:cheesy:

I still have my DVX and come here everyday to learn all I can. It's been an inspiration for me for quite a while now and I'm glad it's around.

isn't the first time cinema5d has had this issue... i like the site but sebastian needs to get on top of things. i recommend to anyone to install adblock for their browser, it kills a lot of potential threats, and you never have to look at ads again
