Cinema tools and FCP Please HELP!!

Hey all,

Was wondering if there are any formulas I should use when trying to convert and edit 29.97 footage in a 23.98 environment.

I have tried to do a rev telecine in cinema tools. I used the default settings cause i was confused.. I put the footage back in a 23.98 timeline in FCP and de-interlaced.. it looks really good but the strobing sucks!! My machine is doing the pulldown (2:3:2:3) on the fly but the strobing really blows on my ntsc monitor.. Am I doing something wrong.. If someone would be kind enough to let me know what I should do , it would be greatly appreciated..

Is this footage that was shot in the DVX's 24pa mode? If so, you should just remove the 2:3:3:2 pulldown during capture to your computer, via the capture preset for 24pa, rather than going through Cinema Tools.

If it's not 24pa, then I'm not sure how to solve your problem, sorry.
