Cinema Tools - 24fps from DV NTSC

I was given some footage to edit from a DVX. The clips obviously still have the interlaced frames in them. I've tried every setting in FCP 5 to try and get rid of them.
Someone suggested using the preset Cinema Tools - 24fps from DV NTSC.

I can't find this anywhere in FCP. Is this in FCP or is it in Cinema Tools?

I can't believe DVX footage can be such a pain in the a$$ to work with.

Hey Kevin what I think they were trying to tell you is to open up the clips in Cinema Tools and use the reverse telecine feature to conform them to 23.98.

Just for my own understanding what format were these images shot in? 24P normal or advanced? I noticed some interlacing issues with a project I just completed as well. But when I went to compress the footage I selected an option to de-interlace footage and it took the lines out or made them less noticeable.
