Cinema Craft SP compression

I wanted to see if anyone had any success with this software and give me any insight as to whether or not it is worth the $2k. I work with sorrenson now but I would like to step up, because it seems that I never really get a pristine compression using it.

I'd love to hear thoughts on SP as well. I have been a CinemaCraft Basic ($60!!!) user for a couple years now and have been pleased with the results. I tried the demo of SP and compared the results to my CCE Basic encodes but did not see much different.

I know that SP allows you control over GOP placement in order to let you set exact chapter points to the frame (in Basic I just have to choose the closest one). It may also allow more than 2-passes on an encode.

Anyone with first-hand experience?
