Cinefuse 2 or Cinefuse 3?

I am trying to decide which to buy. My question is this, looks wise is there a major difference between cf2 and cf3? I know cf3 offers more difussion. But i am kind of leery of having to change the opcilation speed(or whatever you call it) on the adapter. Since i am going to be switching constantly from the stock cf1 and whatever i end up getting. Do you need to change the oscilation speed on the adapter if u are using a CF2?

When I did a test of the CF1L, CF2L, and CF3L a few months ago I didn't change the oscillation speed on the 2, but I did notice more vignetting than on the 3 with my 50mm 1.4 lens.

Well....I've mostly been using the CF1L since its so versatile, but between the two I like the CF3 better. Although you really need to be shooting wide open with it.

So are we in agreement that CF3 is the best way to go in regards to getting a good filmic look in brevis?

Don't use CF3 unless you can shoot at f/1.4 on all your lenses. CF2 is a few stops more lenient in this regard and I think you will be pleased with the depth of field characteristics.

it is great. easily the best. CF3 is just limiting. It is an extreme look, very nice but you really do need VERY fast lenses to use it

CF2 looks the same as CF1 but you can throw the backgrounds out of focus even more. It is just as sharp and loses a tiny bit more light.

That's pretty much spot on Marco. CF2/Le will lose light more linearly so you can't get away with f5.6 on your 35mm lens resulting in only 1 stop of total system light loss as you would with CF1/Le.
