Cineform Prospect problems

Hi

I downloaded Cineform Prospect4k to try out. It does quite a good job with M2t files and others. But everytime I put a M2ts file through it, HDLINK crashes. Particularly, it shows the file cfencode.ax during the crash. I tried downloading sample M2ts files from various websites to make sure it wasn't my file causing the problem. All of them crash.

Its rather a shame. Since I am upgrading to a camera that uses these files and I was hoping to purchase this.

Any ideas?

FYI

I tried renaming the M2ts file to MPEG and it looked as if it was going to encode. But it never really progressed past 0%. I tried renaming to m2t (which usually encodes) but it politely states that "No more scenes detected" and then states the conversion is done. But it doesn't spit out a file.

Also, the weird thing is that I can get the M2ts file to load up in Virtualdub (via AVS) and choose the Cineform vfw encoder in the list and the file will encode perfectly that way. But I prefer to use HDLINK since I will capture from it and it has more options.

Okay I seemed to have solved the problem. HDlink doesn't seem to officially supprt using AVS files. But I loaded it in there and it worked. It actually encoded the m2ts file. If this keeps up for the rest of the trial, I'll most likely buy it. Great looking conversions.
