Cinebag owners: Can you carry it on the plane?

I am ready to purchase a Cinebag (Production Bag) with a sweet educational discount they are offering for us students. However, I will be doing a limited amount of travelling and need to know if anyone has tried to fly with the Cinebag. I know by measurement, it doesn't quite meet the standards, but has anybody been able to carry it on the plane? Any experiences you can share? Thanks!

I'm looking at getting one. Great deal here locally on them, however Delta.com's carry-on dimensions state, 22x14x9 whereas the Cinebag is 27x15x12. I think you're really pushing it. You won't get it under a seat and I think you'd be cramped putting it in overhead. Those I know with them put em in a rubbermaid-type container and check them. Then carry on the camera in a smaller bag.

won't fit. don't try it. gate-checking gear would suck. plus...depending on where you're going, it may not even be a 'full-size' jet - remember, the overhead in the commuter jets are even smaller.

go to target and get a rubbermaid container for the cinebag, load it up and check it. carry your camera on in a different, smaller bag.

cant fly with it.. not a hope. It does however fit perfectly in the 40L? rubbermaid bins that you can check in.

Well, I think I will give up on the Cinebag then and turn my hopes toward the Portabrace...
