Cine Lens T-stop ramping

I'm seeing a trend with some of the longer focal length PL zooms where the T-stop increases as you hit the long end of the lens. The canon 30-300 goes from T2.95 - 3.7. If a person were to shoot at a higher T-stop, would the ramping effect be avoided?

Exactly. Set it at 3.7 or higher and it will be constant aperture.
