Cine Arm on a C100

I just got a C100 Mark II and a Cine Arm Hold-It to mount my Atomos Ninja on. There's 1/4" threading on the top back of the C100 handle so I'm guessing that's probably the best place to mount it. The cine Arm has bare threading on one end though, and a little circular piece that you can tighten down the other end with.

I think people are using the red/black circular piece on the monitor end instead of where it's mounted to (handle on C100 in my case), but I find that I still would like it to be more secure at the place that it's mounted to. I wish it had that little circular piece on each end. That'd make it more secure.

How do you personally set these up?

Honestly? I've never found those little micro arms good for much. The problem is leverage... when you put weight out at the end of the arm, it doesn't take much to start loosening the 1/4-20 at the other end... then it gets floppy.

I use them for small stuff that I'm mounting transiently, but if I was using a Ninja regularly on the C100, I'd probably invest in an EVF mount of some sort that's based on NATO rail and multiple points of contact with the body.
