Is there a major difference between the two? My aim is to block light and I will never use over 2 filters... thoughts?

Well a Mattebox is going to allow you to have 'Stages'. Could be 2, 3, 4, (A stage is how many filters at one time can be used)

One of these stages should be 'Rotating' for Polarizers or Grads.

Some Matteboxes come with a French Flag option which is nice if you can get away with not using C-stands and the Mattebox French Flag works for that shot.

If you are going to ever use 2 Filters at once, you will need a Mattebox.

Did I mention it makes the DVX look sexy? :D

Any feedback on the century mattebox? It's alot better priced than the Chrosziel, but then again that normally inidicates something... ???

The Century? Isnt that like 600 dollars? OUCH!

I have the Cavision 3 by 3; also consider the Matteblox by Cinetatics? Unless price is not an issue Century is good too

Re: Chrosziel DV 4x4 Mattebox vs. Sunshade

well I was comparing the century to the chrosziel. So the century is quite a bit cheaper. I don't have an anamorphic adapter so i don't need the chrosziel....
