Hi guys!

I'm finally getting rid of my CAVISION matte box and upgrading to a Chrosziel. I'm also getting a 0.7 wide angle converter, and worried about possible vignetting. So far I've read in a couple of places that 411-53 vignettes at 4.5mm? And that the 440-01 would probably vignette a lot more. Has anyone experienced this with and without the 0.7 WA converter? If both vignette with the WA converter, is there any accessory that will let me put 4x4 filters infront of the converter?

i don't believe the 440-01 is compatible w/ the WA. you will need the 411-53 if you want to use any century lens attachments or the panny anamorphic. the 440-01 does not vignette in underscan.

Thanks boo, well there's a 104mm to 95mm step down adapter.

I dont know much wider than 4.5mm can the 440-01, or even the 411-53 take before showing up in underscan mode.

i have the 411-53 and i use it with the pana anamorphic lens, it does vignette but only in the underscan sections.

i generally always use it with the zoom on 10 or greater.

the vignetting was only an issue when you try to make a streaming/web file because that uses the full frame.

i wish there was a built in option to clip it down to the normal viewable area on ntsc.

Hmm... it's also an issue when you project the footage or if released in DVD and played back in a computer.

matthewd5, did you have the modification done to the anamorphic adapter?

I have the Chrosziel Frame CF-MB/ST with the CWAH 16:9 shade. It has 2 Panavision filter holders in the frame, 1 - 138mm in the rubber boot & a CUSTOM extra panavision holder in the shade. It will not vinette in full wide .7 with all 4 filters in , even in underscan. I also use the ana. with no problems in full wide.
