I have become a bit of a Christopher Walken fan recently, i have seen him in welcome to the jungle, joe dirt and man on fire, was wondering what his best roles have been which i should check out?

Those are all excellent Walken roles, but don't forget True Romance or Suicide Kings. He was also in the recent Man of the Year with Robin Williams.

My Favorites:

King of New York
The Prophecy
Biloxi Blues
True Romance
Pulp Fiction
Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead
Nick of Time
Catch Me If You Can

Suicide Kings and The Prophecy are definitely among my favorites.

I completely forgot about Suicide Kings... another great role.

For me those really small roles that you remember forever are always the ones that make an actor great though... hence why I like True Romance & Pulp Fiction. Prophecy and King of NY (while I have them listed as favorites) are too easy because he was the star.

In True Romance Walken made a memorable character out of five minutes of screen time. Brad Pitt did the same in that film with his honey bear bong smoking character... just really great performances in small roles (Samuel L Jackson did the same with his going down conversation and that was under a minute of screen time in that same film... Gandolfini was also great... damn, True Romance is just an amazing picture)

True Romance is just an all around under rated flick. Great cast of people who are pretty big by themselves, and plenty of twists and gags too. And who wouldn't want Dennis Hopper as their Dad?

Don't forget his appearance as an unofficial 'suspect' in the death of Natalie Wood (in real life). (Just kidding - but he and Robert Wagner WERE on that boat with her the night she ended up drowned off of Catalina.)

All great roles for him. I think he's much better as a supporting actor that when he has to carry the movie himself. Another movie that he had a great monologue in and no one has mentioned was:
Poolhall Junkies

I think that one, The Suicide Kings and "The Continental" from SNL were my favorite roles. Oh, and Bruce Dickenson..."More cowbell."

Envy
Around the Bend
Blast From the Past
Man on Fire
The Rundown
Poolhall Junkies
Pulp Fiction
Wild Side
True Romance
Mouse Hunt

and of course, Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Last Man Standing
