Choppy Ext. Monitor

[avatuar]

I have one veg file that plays smooth and clear all the way through the .veg file and all of its videos are in the same folder. All my other veg files root to videos in different folders will this or should this make it choppy when viewing on my ext. monitor?

It shouldn't make any difference what folder the media files are in. There are a lot of factors that will slow down playback from the timeline including effects, transitions, overlays, etc. in the project. Also, if your hard drives can't keep up then playback may get choppy.

If you have choppy playback, then you can prerender sections either to a file (Shift+M) or in memory (Shift+B if your video options have memory allocated for prerender), so that you can get smooth playback for checking things.
