Chip fault?

Hi there y'all.

my DVX100ae has suddenly started producing a faint white, almost translucent, line from the top of the image to the bottom - about 1/3 across from the right of the screen.

i pressed the reset button in vain hope. it's still there.


...and yes, on the footage not just the LCD.

anyone come across this?

sent a notice to Mack warranty - hopefully they'll be OK.

Does the line move throughout the image vertically? Does it happen only when NOT using the battery?

Have you ruled out electrical interference/hum?

the line doesn't move.

damndest thing. i plugged it into a power outlet (which i never do) and the line doesn't come up! now i put the battery back in and i cannot see it!

i will review the footage to see if it comes up at any particular time or situation.
