Chinese Lantern - Matching The Light

I've been successful using Chinese lanterns in medium and close shots but I'm having trouble when going to wider shots. The lanterns have modest throw so I must use different fixtures in the wide shots and I'm having trouble matching the lighting look. I would appreciate any tips since I'm still learning. Thanks

Both shots should mimic light direction and color. You can totally change up the wides with bounced 1ks or throw a little diffusion paper or a few soft boxes in a row.

Check the color temperature of whatever the bulbs in your china laterns are, and then use gels as necessary to match for the wides.
A lot of it will come down to you judging by eye. Aram is right about bouncing light it will help a lot, I've had to work with combining china laterns and more powerful fixtures, and I found bouncing/diffusion usually works prety wel.

Good Luck
