Chinese Corporate DVDs??

I'm directing a 5 - 7 minute corporate DVD to be shown by Australian wine makers to Chinese business men during sales presentations. They want it created because the language barrier has cause some issues and they want them to see first hand exactly how the premium wines are created and their uniqueness compared to most of the winemakers that they are dealing with.

And titles and voiceovers will be in mandarine.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has any suggestions on what intrigues or interests Chinese business people as it's a totally different market to persuade than Australia and Americans.

We're trying to work out if that prefer fast-paced content or slower with more music and less talking.

What are you thoughts?

I shoot for clients all over the world but only when i shoot for German television i get very specific camera direction -- it's as if they on purpose are distancing themselves from cool shots, action filled shot and anything even remotely hip... They have some invisible standards to uphold of proper TV while let the underdogs have to deal with hip and cool... And similar atmosphere is present it seems in Japan. In China, i assume, it's cheese...

Presuming people will be shown onscreen, your audience might appreciate seeing some Chinese faces onscreen. If no actual Chinese wine workers are available (it's worth checking), then at least consider including some Chinese wine fans in the final 'everyone enjoying the final product' scene.

Yeah thanks for the advice,

I agree with the Chinese faces - we're going to have a bunch of Chinese extras enjoying the premium wines for that very reason.

And I really thought about the colour but that is a good point,

And yeah the client is wanting it to be a bit slower and less 'out there' so to speak,

Thanks all!
