Yes they withstood the test of world travel, extreme climates and serious abuse. I dropped a few of them, cracked them, and had to use super glue for a quick fix to keep the bottom attached and they still work great.

P.S. if anyone finds a mah5000 on the bottom of the Pacific Ocean in Central America its mine!!
