check out this logo

Honestly, that was not what I was expecting at all. What an unusual logo. It has an almost retro feel to it. It feels like something Monty Python would have built. I almost expect a small cherub to appear out of the horn. :)

So many logo's feel life different versions of the same thing. This is unique. I like it.
 
The wheels hinder easy reading of "zampano"... which is an unusual name/word anyway so you might want to be sure it's clearly legible.

If this is to be a logo for the start of a flick then maybe you can fade out the wheels and phonograph... while leaving the text up for a couple seconds? Otherwise I'd look for a way to have some seperation.
 
I agree with both posts. The logo is great, but I would clean it up a bit. If you can't get a sharper look on the whole thing, I would at least sharpen up the font. Maybe doing that would separate it from the background a bit. Or maybe mute the background somehow. Great concept though
 
Cool, thanks for the ideas. I agree, its blurry and hidden, I was hoping you guys would bring that up. This is going on the front page of my website. I'll clean it up for sure.

Yeah, when designing it I wanted a gypsie or old circus feel to it, something totally different if possible. I think we accomplished that. Just got bored with standard prodco logos.

If curious, Zampano is the character played by Anthony Quinn in the film, La Strada. I'm placing my two features under this company and my next film slated for Fall.
