Check out my Quinceanera sample video( sweet sixteen video)

That's probably the ONLY effective use a clock wipe I've ever seen. Nice job there.

Editing is generally good. I'm sure the family loved it.

Things to consider:

1) Overuse of that "explosion" effect. Done too many times. It stopped being a "special" moment once you used it more than twice.

2) In order to get the flash transition not to blow your cropping, edit as widescreen.

3) Someone who knows the lyrics to that Roxette song will be really confused as to why you used it . . . trust me, if you do this for long enough, you'll find someone who'll be offended by it, especially if you put it into a wedding video.

Thanks David for your comments, the video is just a sample of 3 different events i filmed some time ago, That's why the over use of the effects. The purpose of this video is just to show in my Website the type of work i do. Again thanks for your comments and suggestions.

I tried editing in widesreen with the flash transition and mine stills shows through. Do you mean to change the aspect ratio in properties to widescreen?

If you edit on a widescreen timeline, the flash should only fill the widescreen area. What exactly are you doing, step-by-step?

I open the project properties in DV Widescreen and then apply 16:9 crop to the image. I insert a split in between where I want the flash. Same result as the video in this thread. That's all.
