i found this cool diy trick for a lcd shade for the dvx. it's comparable to the Petrol PMH-2/Hoodman H-400. i tried it, but all i had to experiment with was an orange folder to test it. it worked out cool, but when i make the one for my dvx, i'm going to use a black folder. it looks pretty sleek.

i like it ive often thought about doing one of thos things. i wonder if its thin enough to fold down and give you the ability to close the lid with hood still on that way it stays on all the time between the lcd and cam and then just flip out the lcd and the hood is allready to go.
