Cheapo Ebay batteries and chargers, anyone used one?

I am going to need lots of batteries for a feature shot in the winter up in Minnesota so I was talking with one of the members here and we went over all the options. We finally talked about the possibility of getting a bunch of the cheap batteries sold on Ebay for like $25 each and getting a charger for each of them. And getting more than 12 of those batteries, with one cheapo charger for each of them, came down to less money that one of those sweet turbo 4 battery chargers that I have always wanted so bad.

So I am thinking about just buying a bunch of them and setting them up on a pair of power strips with the cords neatly coiled... it would look like a Christmas tree, but if they last enough to carry us over the course of 1 and 1/2 months of shooting in the bitter cold, then why not? But would they die on us unexpectedly? And shut down production?!?

So I would love to hear from anyone that has used them before. It would be greatly appreciated! Especially if you've shot with them up in the northern country. Thanks in advance.

Also, I don't think I would need 12 of them either... I have three batteries myself, 4 if you count the free battery from Spec-Comm from the purchase of a 170, though I plan to charge those on the Panasonic Charger just cause I am scared to mess them up, or should I be?
