Cheapest steadicam in history

I wouldnt call it a steadicam though. you wouldnt be able to get moving shots with it but for static tripod type shots, it could be very effective compared to handheld.

This gives me an interesting idea... it could be used for moving shots if the string is anchored to something other than your foot. As long as it is anchored to some stationary point. You could experiment with longer strings and get a smooth shots revolving around the anchor point be pointing in any direction desired. What do you guys think?

To make it mobil, I wonder if you could create a belt with counter weights and tension devices and maybe the ability to adjust everything . . . NAH!

well the image didn't load for me but I think I get the concept. Reminds me of the trick to make your 5dmarkII or d90 stable or a smooth pan....Use the neck strap and pull forward to get tention and stability.

I actually know the guy who has the patent on that. Granted, he sells them for a few bucks. Lemme see...

IQ Gadgets did the PullPod. He gave me a couple and I've actually used them for lighter cameras. Great for those tiny camcorders.

That's been around for ages. You can actually use it two ways. step on the string with foot or attach it to your belt with a carabiner. Works really well
