I'm looking to use the cheapest camera/audio package possible. I'm going to do some run and gun stuff for practice.
For my sound package I wanted to use a Rode Videomic (seemed like the cheapest solution - I heard the other cheap mics were beyond terrible -sony hs1)
But I heard that to use this mic, you need to have manual audio control set down to -20db because this mic blows out the sound.
However, all the cheap cameras seem to have no manual audio.
What's the cheapest cam?
Also if you have better sound ideas please help.
