Cheapest Beam Splitter Rig?

What is the cheapest beam splitter rig that allows you to control convergence and inter-axial adjustment? I'm trying to just play around with stereoscopic videos, but the cheapest one I could find is 3k (3dfilmfactory.com). Anything less out there?

Cheap isn't good. You should be looking for value for money!

Seriously I hear very good things about Alister Chapmans Hurricane rig.

But sorry to say it's not in the $3000 bracket.

You could always make one yourself for a lot less than $3000. The 3Dfilm factory rig is made from off the shelf parts.

Cheers

Wow it looks promising. But I'm going to have to save up some more moola $$ for this rig. I wonder how it would differentiate the look though. The 3dfilmfactory rig seems more sturdy and it seems like it could absorb vibration better than the rails, but the hurricane rig seems much easier to use. 3DFF rig seems more bulky and I think it'd be a problem to travel with that. Eh but I guess you get what you pay for. Thanks for the info.:-Dum(DBG):
