Here's HPRC, an Italian company that I =think= makes or made the hardshell cases that PortaBrace sells. Also available under their own name at the usual places.

Pelican also has their Vault line, which I think is made overseas and not in the US. Less expensive, IIRC:

And then there's Monoprice, Harbor Freight, and more:

You mean HPRC and Porta-Brace? I agree, unless there are some new Porta cases made elsewhere.
For the Monoprice & Harbor Freight, I presume those are not made by HPRC.
I've seen the HPRC/Porta cases in the field. They seem work OK. The Monoprice & Harbor Freight cases I've seen don't appear to be nearly as well made or as rugged; I don't think I'd put expensive and delicate equipment in them... But I guess they could have some uses.
Vanguard make an insert that fits perfectly into the 1620, even has a lid. I use it all the time. There are cheaper options from B&W and several good Chinese options on ebay.
Hi Liam,
Are you talking about the Vanguard Divider Bag 53 - 56 x 42 x 20cms
It seems a little bit larger to the 1620 - 54.6 x 41.7 x 31.9 cms and it is about 11 cms not deep enough?
How are you making up for the 11cms in lost depth?
Thanks.
