I'm looking for a cheap lightweight tripod with a mid level spreader that can carry a DSLR (so nothing heavy really). Ideally I would like it to have a detachable head, but I guess its not really necessary.
I currently have a Manfrotto 501HDV + 755XB legs and found that although it is nice, I miss the convenience of the mid-level spreader in my super cheapo tripod where I can push the legs in very quickly and move my tripod when necessary. With the Manfrotto 755, I have to push in each of the (stiff) legs and it's just a lot more cumbersome when on the go. Is there any tripod like this that exists? It seems like all the higher-end lightweight tripods are all designed without the mid-level spreader.
I'm also looking to swap out my Manfrotto 501HDV head with something lighter too. Any recommendations (probably at most the size of the Manfrotto 701) ?
