cheap substitute for a portable dat...?

Hey all,

Discovered something new today on the Tascam-the Porta-brace bag I have for my PMD670 fits the Tascam. And, it even zippers open on the top so I can get to the buttons. I may not sell it now with the PMD...It still works. But, it isn't well designed for adding wireless Rx's or a mixer, so I will still probably put a bag together like Matt did.

Phil, I talked to PortaBrace and they will add the attatchment points the that bag for about $30. I got one for the 671 and was surprised that it didn't come with the wireless bag (that I use to cary headphones in) so I called them.

i had the tascam for a day before i returned it.

i have the 722 now but i'm swapping that and upgrading to the 744t this week.

by timecode i meant it can do it. the 722 can't even do it.

i really wish there was an optional upgrade to the 722 to put in the timecode option module.

the tascam would be perfect if it had xlr jacks and could make up its mind if it wants to be used on a cart or out of a bag.

a "pro" version would probably solve the issues i had with it.
