I hope to have a speedring in this production cycle for our 650 and 1000. It will be under $60 with softbox and speedring so yes, that breaks a new record. I'm waiting for the final speedring prototypes that I hope will be what I expected this time. I rejected our first design and am on design 2. It should be a solid machined ring of aluminum and won't have full rotation but will rotate at least 45 degrees either way which should be good enough.
The softbox hood itself will be just like the one on our site now with diffusion and eggrates. If you have our CL-SFT1 Kit you could use the same softbox but substitute this speedring which should also work in an Arri 650, CDM 150, Cool Lights tungsten 650 and most of any of the other 650w clones out there with an accessory holder size of 6 5/8" or so.
We should also have our 650w / CDM 150 scrim set this time too--unless it delays for some reason. I won't have other scrim sets for a while for the other fresnels.
