"LED Lenser Hocus-Focus" or "police tech focus", a bright LED flashlight fits the XH-A1 mic holder just perfect. Usable light to about 2m/7ft at +6 gain. Worked nice and easy in the darkest Africa combined with the headlamps of the subjects. About €50 on this side of the pond.
 
Petrus, add a small piece of plastic diffuser and that will help close up. I've used a Task Force Cree and a Coastal Gcast Tac Torch and they worked great. Stay away from wacky size batteries.
