Cheap microphone for a miniDV Camcorder?

Hey its me again,
I need a new microphone a camcorder that doesnt support XLR inputs (panasonic nv gs300) and I want to be able to mount it on the shoe extension it has? Any suggestions?
Keep in mind that I will be getting a new camera later this year, that does support XLR inputs and I will use my shotgun mic that has XLR. This camera only has a 3.5mm jack ;(
 
Also have a look at the Sony ECM-MS907 as it is a full M/S stereo mic with battery operation and sounds very good for the price.
