Hey DVXers,

Can anyone recommend a good, reliable, relatively-cheap hosting service where I can set up a website with either a few small (7-10MB each) streaming files or downloadable video clips? It will be used to announce the selling of a high school football team's DVD about their season.

Perhaps, it could be set up to use PayPal for purchasing the DVD (?).

I, obviously, am undereducated about such matter and would appreciate any input (even from Pookie) ;) about how to go about this.

Hey, if any of you are able to design it for me and/or host it, then let's talk bidness.

Don't know what you budget is but Powweb .com is cheap, very reliable and way worth checking into

I don't really have a budget as this is a labor of love on my part. However, I'm willing to pay someone to design it for me.

It's for a very small town's high school football team in the panhandle of Oklahoma - the Beaver Dusters... (no kidding!).

Any takers?

I know a guy who might be interested I'll get him to pm you later. I'd love to help but too much on my plate already. How much space do you need for the video clips?

At the moment, I only have one 8MB MPG4 file of a trailer I put together. I might like to add one or two more later.

Can it be made to accept PayPal payments (like Jarred's DVX Battery website)?

I haven't bought the ".com" name, yet. Should I hold off to let your friend (or whomever) package that in the deal? Sorry for being so ignorant about this stuff.

Yep I would hold off and I'll get him to contact you as soon as he is done working. I,m not up to speed on the paypal thing but I know powweb supports it and my freind uses it as his online bank so it shouldn,t be a problem

Actually, that was a consideration initially... (to spend the money registering, etc. during this calendar year). But, since I really don't know what I'm doing, it can wait a few days or more.

John, you're giving me new ride fever... and the only cure is more cowbell! :P ;D
