Cheap Follow Focus, but which one?

I just ordered a DFocus and i would like to know what outher brand of gears ''rings'' with with it? link??

I got the DFocus rings I am not happy with them. I am going to try the snap rings that Indifocus people released. Just search for Indifocus and you'll find their site. They have some videos of how their snap rings work.

Why aren't you happy with these rings? Is it a problem of their build principle or is it a lack of build quality?

I have a few issues with them.

1) They are a pain to put on. If I need to put them on or off the lenses, it takes a bit of time and I have had the little screw heads pop out on me. Also, keeping track of all the little screw heads is a pain. I do keep all the parts in a ziplock so they do not get lost.

2) If the ring is bumped, I have had the screws pop out on me. Then it takes a bit to get it back together. Since they slide in, they don't lock. I do tighten the ring down, but I also don't want to damage the focus ring on the lens.

3) Some lenses just DO NOT work great with the rings. A perfect example is the 28-135 kit lens for the 7D. The focus ring is too small and I have had a REALLY hard time keeping the ring correctly on the ring.

Many of the even more professional rings just are designed not to be removed ever really, like ones I've used that lock in with an allen bolt. These of course do offer more stability as the screws cannot slide out.

With the snap rings, if they work like they say, it looks to me as most of my issues will be dealt with.

The build quality is good, it's just not an easy product to make simple and fast. I think they did a good job, but for the cost, I felt they were not as awesome as the actual Dfocus which I really like.

I got it today. It isn't the "pro" though, but the "mini". I'm writing a complaint right now.
Things like this make me very upset.
Very unprofessional.
However, the build quality is great. Still I want what I paid for.

Update: they apologized for the mess up and sent me out the right follow focus. The shipping is extremely fast, by the way. Got the package in three working days (USA - Germany).

I got the indiFOCUSpro now. It's OK, it definitely does the job and there's almost no play at all. The Snapgears are easy to set up and work fine.
The only problem with the FF is the production quality: everything is solid, looks good, yeah, but some drilling holes are offset, some are done twice. Although you can't see them, unless you look under the FF of screw the knob off. That's now very convincing.

I haven't used a FF before, therefore I can't compare, but I'm happy with this one and honestly, I can't imagine why a FF is supposed to cost over 1600$. Same goes for a Matte Box.
