Just got me a cheap (80 Euros) TFT Monitor from Ebay.

Size 7" resolution 336.900 Pixel (1440 horizontal)

...and the best of all - you can flip the image for adapter use.

It comes with a headrest holder that slips into the hot shoe,
3 x Video in including one YV (S-VHS)

In my experience Car TV Monitors always have poor resolution, I have owned 9 car monitors for use in my vehicles and they all pretty much sucked. I hope your Experience is better but don't expect the quality it to look anything like those photoshopped images on that ebay page. And the resolution is not HD so for use with an adapter it would probably just work for framing.
 
just for framing, for example if you operate with an adapter handheld, it's perfect i think.

could you post a picture how you are having it in the hotshoe?

what kind of screw fits into the base of the monitor?

and what about batteries?
 
The actual resolution of that monitor is 480 x 233. When they say 1440 horizontal they're counting the red, green and blue pixels individually, which is inaccurate.
