cheap ebay windscreen

i dont think it could provide great results. from what i've read and experienced (since i'm a cheap bastard) the big difference with a 'real' windscreen is that there's no 'dead air' zone between the mic and the fur (this ebay one you just slip it over the foam). i built myself one like this some time ago and it didnt help more than 1% in stopping wind effect.

what i ended up getting is a fantastic and still cheap (even though not supercheap) Lightwave Audio 'equalizer'. i personally appreciated a lot the superquick snap-on feature, so you can wear it on the camera mounted mic in seconds when needed.
At least in europe, the best and cheapest distributor is the uk based www.pasystems.co.uk which sells it at 51£ plus vat.
