Cheap Cheap Grips

Ah.... The best part. I always use shoot bags for everything. I've got a milk crate of lead shot bags to weight down everything that needs to move ( keep it smooth) or instead of sand bags on small stands, so I just clip a 5 lbs bag on for counter weight. Being lead it doesn't bounce at all..... Really dead weight. Having watched older shooters teaches that you don't need all the newest gadgets. Just some creative ways toget the job done with what is on set. The shoulder pad is a quick plate, foam and hockey tape and 10 min to shape it.

I'll get a high res pic. As for the matte box it's another great trick. Vocas mb250. But vocas has a 3x3 / series 9 Tray for their boxes. 3x3 will cover most lenses and are they cheap. Just got a full set (6) 3x3 low con for $100 and series 9 are even cheaper. Also it's a 105 opening so genus mount and nuns nickers fit right in.

How do you like the Kinhotenik evf? And what is the controller you have on the right side hand grip? Looks like a zoom controller, but I'm assuming its just a camera controller?

I love the Kinotehnik. It's the fastest I've used and the attachment might be the best. The controller is the Manfrotto Sympala Canon controller. Focus with ramping speed and programable hard stops. Auto-focus, zoom in to focus, record and still shot buttons. Great for handheld. It's just missing some iris control.

I shoot a music video on Weds. all day and the new grips really held up well. The rubber is very soft and comfortable. It is all I need in grips. I prefer short grips close to the camera.
